Cousin Time...

Mom McDonald had the opportunity to keep Peter & Hudson one day, and recruited my help for a Mother's Day project for their Mommy - so off we went to Granny's house. Mom McDonald did great juggling the twins feeding & reading to Aspen...

Aspen jumped between watching Mom with the boys, and me bathe Eliana...

After bath & project were complete, it was tummy time...

Eliana was not going to let her big boy cousins show her up...She had to get in there and play too. It was too cute. They're all going to have such fun together as they grow.

Eliana did great until Hudson rolled over onto her...she didn't particularly care for him touching her. It was so cute though. :) 

After Dinner Playtime

There was a week not too long ago, all after school activities were canceled, so Brian was able to be home quite early (at least to us) each evening. We had an early dinner, then had special family playtime.

McDonald April Birthday Party

March & April birthdays were combined this year for 1 party...Caleb & Becky had to share. It was a WONDERFUL party though. As alway, Mom McDonald planned fun, crazy games...I think some of my favorite so far. Let's see, I don't know the names but...we played the marshmallow game, then jelly beans w/ a straw game, and lastly - musical chairs, but instead of chairs, there were hulahoops and we all had to get in one to not be counted out...and, being the competitive siblings we are --- we ALL made it into one!! LOL!!! Yep, Joshua, Rebekah, Caleb, Becky, Brian and myself...and Eliana...come to think of it, Hudson & Peter might have been in it too - I can't remember now. It was a blast... :) Fun Memories. Thank you Mom!

Monday Morning...

In this household, I think Mondays are the hardest... One particular monday morning, it was still decently 'early'...I was sitting on the couch nursing Eliana, and I could hear Aspen in the kitchen, then the pantry. I kept telling her to come out and away, but could hear her saying 'some of that. Some of that...some of this, some of this!' I could only imagine what she was wanting. Then I heard her getting a little cup, and back to the pantry. Should I have stopped nursing and checked it out -- probably...did I? No. I decided there wasn't anything harmful in the pantry, and that I'll deal with Aspen after Eliana finished. Well... Aspen comes over saying "mmmm" and kinda coughing...bringing me her cup, which I could tell was 2/3 full of something dark. After looking at her face, and in the cup, I concluded that she had CLIMBED the shelves in the pantry, grabbed the NeSqUik (choc milk powder), poured it into her cup, and tried drinking it dry. It was too cute not to take a picture...I didn't take it right away, and didn't tell her her face was dirty... She thought she had gotten away with something inconspicuously...ha! 

She had NO idea why I was taking the pictures, but she will one day...Love it, and her so much!

Precious Eliana...

Miss Eliana just keep growing, and changing... She amazes me with all she can do already! And, I often think she keeps looking more and more like one of my brothers...can you guess who?! :) And, yet, she looks like Brian too...and then she looks like my baby pictures too. So who does she look like?! Eliana!!!! 

Love our precious girl(s)! 

Sweet Aspen...

Couple weeks ago, we started up the grill.... Brian did sausage & chicken outside, and I did wild rice & zucchini inside. Now, Aspen LOVES corn on the cob...she also knows where I keep the little 'handle' thingys for when we have corn on the cob. Well, as I was getting everything ready, she dug the little thingys out and I couldn't figure out why. Then I stopped to really figure out what she was trying to tell me, and I realized what she had done. Can you figure it out?!

After dinner, Aspen wanted to play in the backyard...and Brian wanted to swing some golf clubs... Actually, I think Brian was 'swing his imaginary' golf club, and Aspen saw it...then, if I remember right, she went upstairs and got one of MY clubs and came back down - then she and Daddy swung 'real' clubs outside -- after he rescued it from being drug across the concrete patio...

He was so proud -- and she got distracted by a 'lizard friend'...
