Various Licks... :)

Apsen isn't quite as exploring with her cute little tongue as her adorable cousin & friend Chloe is, but...when it comes to "good eatin", Aspen is quite to stick it out!!

This is whipped topping...I can't remember why I gave her some, but there had to be a good reason...I don't even remember why I had(have) it in the house. (Sandie so badly wanted a lick too.)

I have no doubt in this picture, that Aspen was saying, "mmmm, gooood" just as she so frequently does with such yummy things.

While I (mommy) went to Aunt Becky's Baby Shower, Daddy & Uncle Ruben took her to Chickfila...and then Uncle Ruben got Aspen her own Ice Cream cone too....Mommy arrived just in time to watch the mess unfold. (How come mommy's always show up then?!)

This was our bake night during an out of town football game. We made pumpkin pies & persimmon cookies. Aspen enjoyed licking the cookie batter off the mixer blade...don't worry, it was eggless.

Again, my pregnancy brain fails me...I am not sure what she was enjoying in these pictures...looks like either more whipped topping, or ice cream. :)

I'm so very thankful for our precious little girl!! She certainly keeps us smiling over here, especially when she's trying new foods, espcially the sweet kind!

Little Fingers...

For all you musicians...or wanna-be's... ;) Aspen LOVES 'playing' the piano. :) I think my piano teacher would be proud of her posture, and the way she's holding her fingers.

I'm sorry the picture is so fuzzy!!! I thought it was clearer than it actually is....

Kemah Boardwalk

I felt like I got smart last time and wrote up a bunch of posts one afternoon, and then have posted them periodically...Well, now I realize how far behind I am in my posts, because I did that. Surely there is a happy medium to that... :) So, now to once again play catch up...

A few weeks ago, some of my cousins on my Mom's side came in town. We were THRILLED to have them around...we get to see them once a year, to once every few years, depending on where everyone lives, and what's going on. So, it was a super big treat to have them around. I'm very disappointed though...I somehow didn't get pictures of them. :( We had a wonderful 'field trip' to Kemah Boardwalk where the kids walked around, or rode in the stroller...then the kids played. We ate a yummy lunch at the Aquarium restaurant, then the kids played in the water spouts. It was fun...and quite a warm day. Aspen wasn't sure what to think of water shooting up out of the ground, but finally warmed up and had fun running around. She never got wet like I anticipated...

Meet Miss Malia...this was her first "field trip", according to her Mommy & Daddy. I am currently keeping her during the week for now. Poor thing, the sun was kinda in her eyes.

Getting a feel for the water spouts...

I think Mom McDonald & I were holding our breath on this one...if the water had shot up, it'd of 'nailed' Aspen in the face...

"Whoa!!! Where'd that come from?!"

Still pretty dry...

Happy with Granny

Aspen fell asleep SO fast once she got buckled into her carseat. She was worn out!

I posted last week, but to keep it in order you'll have to scroll down to see it. The post is titled "Like Father, Like Daughter." :)
