Ice Cream!!!

We like ice cream in this family. And it has been awhile since we purchased any for our house. The girls were thrilled, and we enjoyed it as a family.

Water...

There's a story that goes with these pictures....but, I'll spare you. Bottom line -- Brian said I was grumpy, and I decided to prove to him I wasn't by dumping the pot with water in it (That I was currently washing) on him...he tried to get me wet too...but didn't succeed to much. ;) The girls greatly enjoyed playing in the puddle of water on the floor.

We don't typically do that. But, He didn't think I'd do it...and it made a memory. So, why not?!

One way to get the floor mopped. ;)

Cousins!!

Our girls LOVE P & H! In Oct, we were tag-teaming with Mom McDonald to watch them so C & B could have a little getaway. It was SO fun spending time with them. The Girls LOVED it. :) I wish I'd gotten more pictures, but grateful I got this one.

Love you boys!!

E's 1st Haircut

E has fine, curly hair. I love it -- there just hasn't been much of it until here recently. I finally had someone around the house to take pictures, so I could trim it. Her hair was getting all icky from just never being cut before.

Can't really see much -- but it does look MUCH better.

Riding around Church

The girls LOVE riding around w/ G'pa Troy at church... If they see him in his chair, they 'bee-line' straight to him!

Eliana had been smiling...then I think Aspen was making her uncomfortable.

More Marching Contest...

UIL was our final marching contest this year... We sat with DHS & FHS band supporters/directors/spouses -- whatever you want to call us. :) The "blue team". :D

Waiting for Daddy's band...

The Band!

After UIL, us girls went home...and I was able to cut the grass for Brian... Then, Our McDonald parents treated us to Spring Creek for dinner. It was such a nice treat, and sweet time of fellowship. Afterwards, we ran some errands, and then splurged by taking the girls out for ice cream. "A" had been asking for awhile if we could "go to see the nice lady, and get ice cream.." She of course wanted blue!! lol Such a special treat, and evening!

At the Cross...

This Thanksgiving I'm so thankful for so many things this year. And every year.

After Bible study one day, we had a picnic lunch (we like picnics!) at the Cross, at my parents church. It's a HUGE cross...and it was a beautiful day!! Clear blue skies, crisp, a little cool air... :) Perfect for a picnic.

I'm so thankful for the Cross, and what it means to me. What Christ has done for me. And His grace that continually carries us through.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Fun Day

In October, Mom McDonald & I were able to have a nice mother/daughter day, thanks to Mom Moreno. :) We went shopping for the girls, then dropped by a couple resale shops. Then, ended up at the Cheesecake Factory, and was finally able to use the gift card I've been saving since Christmas! Lunch was yummy, and the cheesecake perfect! :)

We appreciated Mom Moreno watching the girls SO much!! We also brought her back some cheesecake. :) And as a added bonus, I was able to have such a sweet visit with Mom Moreno afterwards too. :) It was such an encouraging day to me! I'm so very thankful for both my Moms. They're continually encouraging, helping, and blessing me!

I love you both, and praise the Lord I'm in both your families! I've got the best Moms! :D

Marching Contest

Along with Football Games, comes Marching Contests!

This particular contest, we went to the park and met a friend, thus the girls were in play clothes instead of school outfits.

Again, LOTS of snacks/lunch, and fun stuff is the key for us!

The directors. They were all in a line -- then as I took the picture, Brian took a step forward.

All serious...and eating.

Happy Big Girl

Another Picnic...

The girls and I had a picnic one evening out back, since Brian was working late. It was a fun evening just us. Then, the Lord answered a prayer...He sent a neighbor by that was sharing some information about our homes, that I had been praying about, and now our issue is getting fixed! Yay!

Pizza Picnic...

Thank you "M" family for our ladybug table!!! :)

Cousins!!

One Sunday afternoon, our Moreno cousins came over to play....while I worked on dresses. :) We had a few fudgesicles leftover, so they were able to enjoy them -- outside of course. :)

The afternoon was shortened by A getting her finger smashed in the bedroom door, courtesy of little sister. Which then led to an Urgent Care trip just to be sure all was OK. Thankfully, her finger was fine, amidst the drama that occured.

Sewing Picnic

Granny came over and helped me press/hem dresses one Saturday. I'm so very grateful she did! Granny got me going, and to the point that 'I CAN DO THIS'. (Hemming 83, double layer choir dresses, plus tux pants, can be overwhelming. PTL He helped SO much!!!)

Anyway, Granny got us started. It was looonnnggg day, but we did it. She treated us to lunch, and we had a picnic out side on the little table the Lord provided/gave to us a couple weeks before.

Lip Smackin' Good ;)

Pretty sure I've shared with ya'll before...when I do cakes, as in filling orders & actually working, I try making it fun for the girls. Makes it better for all of us. :) So, they like 'helping' me as I work...especially the mixing part.

I usually start early in the morning...this particular morning, E was up and got her dressed, but A was woken up by the mixer.

So excited!

Licking the 'spoon rest'...

And, mixer paddle...

Sweet girls

The best part of Mommy doing cakes.... :) To them, it's definitely eating it in various stages, and all day!

Special Fudgesicles

Another G&G, they did the letter 'F', so of course we needed a special treat. They're not exacly fudgescicles, but close enough. :)
