"Think on these things..."

Psalm 104:33, 34

"I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord."

These verses "jumped" out at me this morning as I has my Bible time. I summed up my desire pretty well... Hope they encourage you as they did me.

A couple candids

We have been busy lately, but I haven't taken many pictures! :( The first picture here was at church. There is a basket of blankets for anyone who is cold; evidently Aspen discovered it, and climb in. I didn't see it myself, but someone snapped a picture for me.

The second is kinda pitiful... Aspen has been sick this week...running a temperature on Sunday evening, and some of Monday. So, we decided to have a family movie night last night since Aspen wasn't up for much else. We watched Dumbo. :) Aspen had received it as a Christmas present, and we finally got around to watching it. She loved the fun music & made it through about 30 minutes worth...course, that includes getting on & off the couch multiple times! It was fun though! In the picture you can see she how she likes to wear her pajamas! Silly girl, she always pulls that one arm out of the sleeve. Aspen started doing that around January, and I thought it was because she was hot...now I think it's because it's fun. :)

Resurrection Sunday

Easter was pretty non-stop for us, but was so special to celebrate our Lord Rising again!

We went to our church that morning, then to the McDonald's for lunch. Mom prepared a delicious spread complete with Aunt Ginger's Asparagus and Granny Strait's Mac & Cheese! After lunch, the girls has fun searching for empty Easter eggs...they were empty, just as the tomb was early that morning, years ago. :D

After that, we headed to Galveston to celebrate with the Moreno's! :) It was a nice evening, hanging out on the back patio just visiting. Mom had homemade fried chicken, pea salad & corn! Great job Mom! Mom & Dad Moreno had a piñata for the grandkids to bust earlier in the day, but Nanny saved a few things back for Aspen! :) I somehow didn't take pictures in Galveston! :( I think I may have a few on my camera, just not my phone...I'll try to do better!

In the last picture, the one of the McDonald Granddaughters... Brian thinks Aspen is making a Meagen face. And, I'll be honest, there's a picture of me looking very similar when I was little... So, to you who wonder who Aspen looks like, she favors both of us, it varies from facial expression to facial expression. :)

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was busy, and mostly fun. Friday was kicked off with a PLSC conference call on the way to Cy-Ranch HS where Brian rehearsed with the double quintet he's playing with next weekend for some fancy event. :) It was nice to visit with the other wives and daughter of the quintet, once I was able to wrap up the PLSC call. After the rehearsal most everyone headed to lunch together. Next, Ruben, Brian, Aspen & I headed to the outlet mall. Ruben was in search of Crocs for his missions trip to ....my mind JUST went blank! ....missions trip somewhere, and Brian needed new tennis shoes. Uncle Rub didn't end up buying him any Crocs, the yellow ones in size 2-3 kinda melted his heart a little...or, maybe it was the cute face & bouncy pigtails uttered "shhhhhssh" that melted his heart...either way, he so sweetly bought Aspen the cutest little Crocs, which she proudly wears. The Disney store was next I believe. I don't typically make it into this store, but thought it'd be fun. Uncle Ruben saw a Pooh Bear, and thought Aspen needed one of those too...but this time, she melted Daddy's heart........ :D I'm pretty sure the picture says it all! Brian did find him some tennis shoes, and we even got me some too since they were 1/2 price, and at the outlet mall. Praise the Lord for great deals, and a great day! The rest of the day was spent in Cy-Fair with Uncle Ruben & other fun friends too!

On Saturday we celebrated Caleb & Becky's Birthdays!!! Mom McDonald planned an extra special theme - Pixar's Up. It was SO fun being all together! Happy Birthday Caleb & Becky!

Stray Strawberry Picking Pictures

Some how these pictures didn't make it in with my other posts...sorry about that!
