Christmas Part 2

Okay ya'll, I really am trying to knock all this out. I'm SO ready to get up to speed on these posts!

We spent Christmas Day with our McDonald Family…We met for lunch, then hung out all day…It was such a special day, just being together. There's something special about being with each other during the holidays. I'm grateful the Lord worked it out for all our schedules to coincide to where our time frames to be at Mom & Dad McDonald's overlapped enough for us to celebrate Christ's birth all together. I know it made Mom's day for sure -- as well as each of ours.

Eliana enjoyed the lunch!

Daddy too :D

After lunch we did our gift exchange. Dad McDonald read the Christmas story at one point too, but I can't remember the exact time… He had Aspen quote Isaiah 9:6 too…

The tree…it's fun see in the piles of gifts grow as each of 'us kids' and our families arrive...

Eliana with her turtle from Granny -- and Hudson in the background! Isn't he a cutie?!

She couldn't decide if she liked the turtle or wrapping paper better.

 Handsome Hudson

Caleb & Peter -- poor Peter! I somehow missed getting a good picture of him! :(

All us kids went together and purchased Dad McDonald a nice piece of art for the house…

PawPaw gave Aspen a big girl tricycle for Christmas this year. She was SO excited!

And Paw Paw was so sweet -- when he assemble the tricycle for her, he even put the bell on the left side since Aspen is obviously going to be a lefty!

Aspen & Daddy crashed hard after playing with new toys!

Then it was back to the tricycle!

After spending the whole day, and the sun going down, everyone who could, went to the Festival of Lights… We stayed back with Mom McDonald who hadn't been feeling well, and didn't need to be out in the cool weather.

We were about to head home, and something was said about Aspen saying Isaiah 9:6. It then led into a conversation concerning Handel's Messiah…Aspen had never heard it - or, specifically listened to it -- so PawPaw pulled it up for her. She was fascinated by it -- singing her verse!

We are so very blest by both our families. Such love, and support. Precious times together. Memories made. Thank you for our special time and fun gifts together. We are so grateful!! We truly praise the Lord for our families - Moreno & McDonald.
